Welcome back to my video blog. Last time we spoke with Mark Johnson of SolarCity, he told us about the benefits of solar power. A few of you had some more questions about solar power, so Mark is here to explain more.

When is a good time to get solar power?

Anytime is a good time. With the price of energy increasing, the sooner, the better. It’s not a matter of if you are going to get solar power; it’s a matter of when.

Who is a good candidate?

Half of the homes in Southern California are unable to get 100% solar power because of shade on the structure, or wrong rotation to the sun, etc, but everyone can produce SOME energy.

How expensive is solar power?

We have a lot of different options. We have a zero down option where there is no upfront cost at all. We have an option that you can put some down and that will lower your monthly payment. Or I also have a prepaid option that pays our bill for the next 20 years.
